Ashlee tagged me for this and I happen to be the reigning champion of tag (wait, maybe that was in second grade) so here goes nothing!
**I don't know how to make mr. linky work, so if your name is on here I apologize but you're it anyway.
What's your current obsession?
Vacuuming. I got a new vacuum two weeks ago and my floors are constantly under attack. Too bad cleaning can't always be this much fun!

Does everyone else make sure that their children's toys are organized by group with all the necessary pieces? Anyone? No? Well, alrighty then...
What are you wearing today?

Sew, dance, mosaic..see a pattern? Pretty much anything that requires grace or talent for movement or creativity.

Josh watching basketball/yelling at the television. My girls playing and talking to themselves.

Depends on my mood. I've been loving the rain for cooking and being cozy around the house. We seem to sleep better too. I miss the sunshine for outside playtime though.
What's your most challenging goal right now?
Trying to balance my to do list and spending time with my family. Too long a list and too little time. You can guess what doesn't get done...
What do you think about the person who tagged you?
Ashlee is the most creative and compassionate person I know. She always inspires me and listens to me rant when I'm having a bad day. I love her man!

Anything chocolate and dairy related...think chocolate ice cream.
Favorite vacation spot?
Belize sounds fun...I'm up for anywhere with a beach.

If you could go anywhere in the world for the next hour, where would you go?
I'm going to eat dinner with friends...that's good for me.
What language do you want to learn?
All of them. Spanish and Chinese. I love the sound of Italian too but I think once you know one romantic language you can pick up the others pretty quickly.
What super power would you like to possess?
Love the I make milk...shirt. I think it would be cool to be able to move super fast so I could get things done faster.
What your favorite thing about the city you live in?
The big trees in midtown, the friendly people, the fact that there is a restaurant on practically every corner.
What's your favorite piece of clothing in your closet?
My black floral kimono style dress. My husband thinks I look sexy in it.

Wedding bands for my husband and I from James Avery.

Vera Wang.
Who's closet would you like to raid?
My sister-in-law has fantastic style.

My husband for being who God created him to be. My older daughter for mastering the second stage of potty training. My baby for pulling up by herself in the bath tub. Me...for getting to children here with God's help and no drugs.

my grandpa...he would have gotten such a kick out of my kids and I know they would have ADORED him! I agree, my papa would have adored my girls.

A Mother's Heart
I am fairly new to this blogging world and one of my recent addictions has been reading the blogs of other moms who struggle and rejoice with some of the same daily stuffy that I do. One that I check regularly is MckMama's blog over at www.mycharmingkids.net. She is so positive it always brings a smile to my face. Well, long story short she is in need of prayer today. Her youngest son (Stellan) who has an amazing life story is in the hospital because they can't slow down his heart. Please join with me today in praying for this precious child and his family.
Oh Lord,
We know that you are the same yesterday, today, and forever. We bring this child and his family before you today. Please work all things for good to Your glory. Comfort them in the way that only Your Spirit can. Strengthen and uphold them with Your mighty hand. Cloak them in Your Love.
We ask all this in Your precious Son's Jesus Name
Amen
I'll try and post again later with any updates.
Hope your day is happy.

Cute pics, cute jewelry, cuteness in general...
I know, I know. I've been MIA for a while now. Things got crazy, sleep was lost, heaters stopped working, squirrels got into the attic and then nasty smells and experiences followed...don't ask. I'll tell those stories another day. Today is for posting incredibly cute pictures of my girls and telling you about a fantastic new etsy store where you can buy the cutest jewelry at incredibly great prices. the name of the shop is PixiSette and you can find it on Etsy...so go here and check it out...

Of course if I knew more about this computer stuff I'd have a link for you to click and my pictures would be strategically placed throughout this post instead of randomly clumped together at the top. Oh well, I'll figure it all out some day.
I promise I'll be back soon...really.
Hope your day is happy. :0

Warm thoughts...
Okay, so the temperature is somewhere around 28 and they are calling for rain/sleet/snow sometime tomorrow. What I want to know is why can't husbands get snow days? My sweet hubby has spent the entire weekend playing super dad/husband (helping with baby, taking little-bit out for Daddy/daughter time- and thus out of Mama's hair & off her nerves, and grocery shopping-the most dreaded of all my responsibilities) and now just when the weather is perfect for staying in and snuggling...the dreaded Monday is on its way.
No one at my house likes Monday. It's such a rude awakening from Sunday. Sundays are fantastic! We sleep a little late- well I guess 7:30 is later, enjoy coffee and the newspaper, and get to attend church service where we can bask in the presence of our Father and fellowship with our friends. After that it's home for lunch, a nap, and a leisurely evening of television or books.
Then there's Monday... Dad doesn't want to go to work. Mom doesn't want to be home without dad. And the kid is asking ( I say that instead of whining because we speak positively) all day when he will return. In fact, most Mondays start with my preschooler waking up yelling for Daddy and when she finds out he isn't here she refuses to get out of bed. I wish I had the same luxury.
So back to my idea...Mondays (especially cold/rainy/insert any unacceptable weather here) should be purely optional. Sometimes he might need a break from the family and then that morning he could go in. Maybe like once a month. While we're at it maybe Fridays should be optional too. Okay- any day with exceptionally good or bad weather is optional. ;)
But I guess that's what being a grownup is all about. Oh well.
Hope your weekend was fun & your Monday is tolerable. :) Be blessed.

Inspiration
Okay, so I've been doing my homework and checking out other people's blog to see what is out there, what I like, what works, what doesn't...You get the idea. For those of you who don't know me...this is what I do. I over think/educate myself on everything. I'm working on it, cut me some slack! And here's what I've discovered...1) there are tons of incredible funny, creative, inspiring people out there (many of whom I know personally :)) 2) to make this work I'm going to have to be me, funny, creative, inspiring... or not. I have to be honest. So, in the spirit of honesty here's what's up today.
I woke up late, engaged in yet another pointless conversation with my almost three year old about why we need to be on time to mother's-day-out. Took her to mother's-day-out in my pj's. (Actually purposeful, not lazy. It was PJ day at school and she was a little self-conscience. So Mama and sissy wore pj's too.) Came home (ironically since it is mother's-day-out), talked to sweet friend on the phone about how getting angry at said almost three year old is counterproductive but that's okay and I'm not really a bad mom, and waited on the refrigerator repair guy to tell me that my freezer door is fine even though it opens when you close the fridge because it re-closes itself and nothing is melting. Thank goodness the advice was under warranty or I'd have another counterproductive moment. :)
On the flip side, said sweet friend reminded me that if something isn't working, you don't quit- just try something different. Hmmm, seems I've said that to someone under two feet tall before. Shouldn't I know this? Like mother like daughter I guess. So, I forgive myself for losing my temper, ask God to help improve my parenting skills (or lack thereof ;)) and try again. Wonder if God is as frustrated with me as I get with myself?
Hope your day is happy!

Intro
Okay so this is really new to me and I have absolutely no idea where I'm going with it. My initial idea was that since I had all of this stuff on my list for this year: journaling, keeping in touch with family & friends, taking more pictures, living out my faith without apology...I should just combine them and create a blog. Great, so this is it. Maybe this will be easier as I go. Have a great night.
